Adams Oshiomhole Campaign Organisation has described as “self-serving” the attack on Oshiomhole by Dr. Omosunde  Iyasere, a factional Publicity Secretary to the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State that the former NLC President “cannot pretend to be holier than the Pope.”

Among other things, Iyasere had “warned Action Congress Governorship Candidate in the April 14, 2007 election, Mr.  Oshiomhole on utterances capable of causing disaffection in the state.”

However, Director, Media/Publicity, Adams Oshiomhole Campaign Organisation, Mr. Orobosa Omo-Ojo in his reaction said “my initial reaction was to ignore Iyasere’s comments.

All issues raised in his statement were squarely dealt with during the post-election campaign in the state, as Iyasere and his cohort tried without success to undo the personality of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Suffice to say however, that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, gave a glowing tribute to Oshiomhole for his selfless service to the Nigerian workers, and Nigerians in general.   

“For the benefit of Nigerians and few Edo people who may not know, Iyasere represents the ugly past of our state that Adams Oshiomhole has promised to put where they belong.

“We appreciate Iyasere’s nervousness. He knows that he has many questions to answer when the probe eventually holds. Osunbor should not be fooled by Iyasere’s pseudo-defence. His weak attack on Oshiomhole is self-serving.”
